
Team Principal Nico Aaron Ugbaja talks about how progress has been so far for Ugbaja Grand Prix, and what plans he has for the team in the future.
I write this post during Ugbaja Grand Prix’s mid season break, the first two races of 2012 have been a mixed bag for us. We experienced what can only be described as “The worst luck possible” in Race Three, where the team by no fault of our own had victory snapped away. What made it worse was that we were on course for AT LEAST a podium from that race, until eight laps from the end I got black flagged on my stint dropping us to fourth.
After that race which was the worst moment of my racing career so far, I felt defeated, annoyed, I also blamed myself for everything so far. As team principal it is your responsibility to run the team to the best of your ability, after finishing fourth twice I studied the telemetry from both races really hard and took a different approach for the next race.
