Nico Aaron Ugbaja steps down as team principal of Ugbaja Grand Prix with immediate effect after a team meeting earlier today.
The move comes in a bid to improve the way the team operates after the failure to win another race in the past two years.
Ugbaja Grand Prix won its début race back in February 2011, but since then the team has achieved mixed results. After a team meeting earlier today, the decision was made for Nico to step down from his current position and Alessandro Di Genova replace him as team principal with immediate effect.
Nico was not available for comment, Alessandro’s first role as team principal will come on the 17th April when the team travel to North London for their third race of the year.
Ugbaja Grand Prix resumes racing on the 17th April at TeamSport: North London (TBC)
